Beth Anderson MS, OTR/L, PCES
Beth is an Occupational Therapist who specializes in women’s health and the pelvic floor. Beth attended Towson University and graduated Cum Laude in 2014 with her Bachelors Degree in Occupation and Well-Being followed by her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2015. She has completed advanced post-graduate training and certificate coursework in women’s health and pelvic floor therapy. Beth is also a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Beth became interested in pelvic floor therapy during her first pregnancy when she realized how important and integral it was to have understanding and connection to the pelvic floor for pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She realized Occupational Therapy was an excellent fit for treating pelvic floor dysfunction because of its complex nature; understanding the pelvic floor requires a whole body and client-centered approach taking into account physical, emotional, and environmental factors in which OTs have unique skill and expertise. Practical Pelvis was founded in 2021 when Beth decided she wanted to reduce the gap in pelvic health services women were receiving during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
I’m Janelle, and I’m a Strength & Performance Coach for equestrians.
As a coach and as a rider myself, I have always understood that riding has had a substantial impact on our pelvic floor - and our pelvic floor has a huge impact on our riding!
I myself do not specialize in pelvic floor therapy or rehab, so I reached out to Beth, who FOX HUNTS (soooo coool!!!) with her horse. We really enjoyed working on this webinar and collaborating to bring you some very important information that every rider should know about their pelvic floor!
Good, because I've got answers!
